Dr. Spiro is a Consulting Associate in Psychiatry, Duke University. He teaches courses in Psychodynamic theory and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and supervises psychiatic residents in their clinical work.
In addition, Dr. Spiro has a background in general medicine. He served as a General Medical Officer with the National Health Service Corps at a clinic in rural North Carolina.
